-WHICH BRAND OF HAIR EXTENSIONS DO YOU USE?

Having been fitting hair extensions for over 15 years, I have worked with many brands and have found Prostyles, a lesser known Hertfordshire based company, to provide the best human and synthetic hair. I primarily choose to use this brand as I trust their quality and reliability which far surpasses other companies.

- WHICH FITTING METHODS DO YOU USE?

Each set of extensions that I fit is truly bespoke, for this reason I practise several methods. Varied hair textures and requirements may need different methods. I most commonly use a keratin bond which allows me to custom colour match each section as I go, and create my own bond. However I also work with pre bonded, weft and the synthetic dome method.

- HOW LONG DO YOUR HAIR EXTENSIONS LAST?

As I use individual bonds, hair extensions must be removed and replaced every three months. This ensures the protection of your own natural hair.

- I'VE NEVER HAD HAIR EXTENSIONS BEFORE, HOW WILL I KNOW HOW TO LOOK AFTER THEM?

Each new client is given an after care pack at their initial consultation and is talked through the instructions. Your pack will serve as a useful reminder and also includes offers and a list of other services. The instructions are straight forward and easy to follow.

- YOUR PRICES ARE VAGUE, HOW DO I KNOW HOW MUCH I WILL PAY?

As each client is unique, so is each set of extensions. Pricing depends on many things including length of the extensions, thickness of the natural hair and the style required. Although I give an approximate guideline, I like to view the hair and meet the client first to make sure that you are getting exactly what you want at a price that works for you. Remember, not everyone needs a super voluminous, full head of extensions to have amazing hair!

- I SUFFER FROM HAIR LOSS, WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR ME?

Most women that suffer from mild hair loss can still have hair extensions fitted safely without causing further damage to the existing hair. Many of my clients suffer from forms of hair loss caused from thyroid issues, post pregnancy and stress related alopecia and love the added volume and confidence that Palomino hair extensions can provide them. - I HAVE READ COUNTLESS STORIES ABOUT DAMAGE CAUSED BY HAIR EXTENSIONS. WILL YOUR EXTENSIONS RUIN MY HAIR?

The short answer is no. If fitted professionally, cared for properly and removed carefully there is no reason at all why hair extensions will damage your hair. 

Unfortunately, many people operating hair extension services are not qualified hair stylists and have only been on single day, unaccredited courses and it is these people that give the industry a bad name. Many cheaper hair extension companies provide bad quality hair that is, in turn, fitted haphazardly and without any after care advice.

On the bright side, the health of your hair is very important to us and nearly all of my clients find that my extensions actually give their natural hair a break allowing it to strengthen over time.
